Our operating standard

Confidentiality & Data Handling

The brands we advise are not marketing assets. Protecting their identity, performance data, internal decisions, and unfinished thinking is part of the engagement itself.

Why our portfolio is private

Discretion is evidence of the work.

Scentifica works with established and emerging fragrance businesses. We intentionally do not maintain a public wall of client logos or disclose commercial outcomes that could identify a client without permission.

When relevant experience is important to a prospective engagement, we may discuss comparable situations privately and at an appropriate level of abstraction—but only where our existing obligations permit.

Your strategy, performance data, and internal decisions remain yours.

How we work

A practical standard, not a slogan.

01

Private by default

Client identities, logos, commercial indicators, strategies, and project materials are not made public unless the client has given explicit written permission.

02

NDA-ready

We can work under a mutual NDA or review a client-provided agreement before substantive confidential information is exchanged.

03

Need-to-know access

Information is restricted to the people directly involved in the engagement. External disclosure requires prior client approval unless legally required.

04

Separated materials

Working files and deliverables are organised by engagement to reduce accidental crossover between clients and maintain clear ownership boundaries.

05

Controlled communication

Sensitive documents are shared through agreed channels. Access, recipients, and the appropriate level of detail are considered before information is transmitted.

06

Retention with purpose

Materials are retained only for legitimate operational, contractual, or legal needs and can be reviewed for return or deletion at the close of an engagement.

Clear boundaries

What this standard covers

Information in scope

  • Brand identity and ownership context
  • Financial and performance indicators
  • Product, pricing, and distribution plans
  • Research, strategy, and working documents
  • Introductions and partner conversations

Responsible limitations

No organisation can credibly promise absolute security. We apply proportionate organisational and technical safeguards, minimise unnecessary disclosure, and address requirements specific to an engagement before sensitive information is shared.

Before the first file

Set the confidentiality terms first.

If your organisation has specific NDA, access, retention, or communication requirements, include them in the initial conversation so the engagement can be structured accordingly.
